A Family in Christ
Keep God’s Word is a YouTube channel dedicated to exploring the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. We study Scripture in its original biblical context, remembering that Jesus was Hebrew and lived according to God’s commandments. We encourage believers to engage in Bible Study, follow the Ten Commandments, and grow through practical Biblical Teaching.
A key focus of our channel is the seven Feasts of the Lord, the Biblical Feasts God commanded His people to keep forever (Leviticus 23), which point directly to Jesus Christ and God’s plan of redemption. The spring feasts were fulfilled by Jesus: He became the Passover Lamb, His sinless life is reflected in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, His resurrection fulfilled Firstfruits, and the Holy Spirit was given on Pentecost. The fall feasts look forward to Christ’s return, including the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles, each revealing God’s future plan for His people.
We also honor post-resurrection celebrations, like Easter (without the commercial distractions) and Christ-Mas, celebrating more Christ, less consumerism. Our mission is simple: learn God’s Word, live it, and share it with others through Biblical Teaching and Bible Study.
We also honor post-resurrection holidays, such as Easter (without the commercial distractions) and Christ-Mas, celebrating more Christ, less consumerism. Through these observances, we encourage believers to engage in Bible Study, embrace Biblical Teaching, and live according to God’s Word, sharing the message of faith and the significance of Biblical Feasts with others.
Studying the seven Biblical Feasts and the sacred Feasts of the Lord helps believers understand God’s plan, the life of Jesus Christ, and His promises of redemption. By engaging in regular Bible Study, individuals and families can explore the spiritual meaning of each feast and grow in faith through practical Biblical Teaching.
The Biblical Feasts are more than historical events. They teach obedience, worship, prayer, and daily living according to God’s Word. Reflecting on the Feasts of the Lord strengthens Scripture knowledge and encourages consistent Bible Study. It also provides practical ways to apply Biblical Teaching in everyday life.
Incorporating the Biblical Feasts into study routines helps believers recognize God’s timing, understand prophecy, and live faithfully according to His commandments. Regular Bible Study combined with focused Biblical Teaching on the Feasts of the Lord allows followers to internalize God’s Word, deepen spiritual growth, and apply Scripture in family life, community, and personal devotion.
By learning the significance of the Biblical Feasts through videos, articles, and teachings, believers can embrace a life rooted in God’s Word. This helps strengthen faith and celebrate the Feasts of the Lord with understanding, reverence, and joy.
The feasts were given by God to the children of Israel as part of His covenant with them. However, Scripture also teaches that a stranger who joined Israel and followed God's commandments could participate and be treated as one born in the land (Exodus 12:48–49; Numbers 9:14).
The feasts were not invented by man. They were established by God Himself.
Leviticus 23:2 (KJV)
“Concerning the feasts of the LORD… even these are my feasts.”
The first feast mentioned in Scripture is Passover, which was established during the Exodus when God delivered Israel from Egypt.
Exodus 12:14 (KJV)
“This day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations.”
The Bible lists seven annual feasts of the Lord in Leviticus 23.
These are often called God's appointed times.
Passover
Feast of Unleavened Bread
Firstfruits
Pentecost (Feast of Weeks)
Feast of Trumpets
Day of Atonement
Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)
Yes. The feasts are divided into two groups:
Spring Feasts
Passover
Unleavened Bread
Firstfruits
Pentecost
Fall Feasts
Trumpets
Day of Atonement
Tabernacles
The feasts serve as God’s prophetic calendar, revealing His plan of redemption for humanity and pointing to the work of the Messiah.
The spring feasts were fulfilled by Jesus during His first coming:
Passover – Jesus became the Passover Lamb.
Unleavened Bread – His sinless life and burial.
Firstfruits – His resurrection from the dead.
Pentecost – The giving of the Holy Spirit.
The fall feasts point forward to events connected with His return:
Feast of Trumpets – Often associated with the sounding of the trumpet and the gathering of God’s people.
Day of Atonement – A future time of repentance, judgment, and reconciliation.
Feast of Tabernacles – When God will dwell with His people and Messiah reigns.
Many believers study and observe the feasts because they are called the feasts of the LORD and were given as lasting memorials throughout generations (Leviticus 23; Exodus 12:14).
When studying the feasts, the focus should always be on Jesus the Messiah, because the feasts reveal God's plan of redemption and point to Him.
